Good shows and movies to watch during quarantine

Now that we will be staying home for the rest of the school year most of us will be bored and not have much to do. Watching TV is a good way to stay entertained.  I’m going to be listing 10 good movies and TV shows to watch to stay busy!

Shows:

All American is a show that follows a football star and his journey to a new school and the struggles he encounters while trying to find his footing. I love this show because it’s just so interesting and addicting to watch. I would rate this show a 5/5.

Outer Banks is a show on Netflix that follows a group of teenagers in the Outer Banks of North Carolina who are set out to solve the mystery of a missing father. They make many discoveries along the way, including treasure. I like this show because it’s really mysterious and makes you wanna know what happens next. I would rate this show a 4/5.

Riverdale, originally a story from Archie Comics which started in 1941, centers around a group of high school students who are shocked by the death of classmate, Jason Blossom. Together they unravel the secrets of Riverdale and who really killed Jason. I like this show because it’s also really mysterious and just makes you wanna know more. I would rate this show a 4/5.

Supernatural is an American dark fantasy that follows two brothers as they go on hunts for demons, monsters, ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. I really like this show because they’re supposed to be hunting all supernatural things, but it’s also funny and just really entertaining. I would rate this show a 5/5.

You is a show on Netflix that follows an Average Joe who works at a bookstore. However, viewers quickly learn he might not be so average after all. I like this show because it’s really interesting and just makes you want to watch more. I would rate this show a 5/5.

Grey’s Anatomy is a romantic, medical drama/comedy that follows the interns at a Seattle hospital. I like this show because there’s a lot of drama and it’s fun to watch. I would rate this show a 3.5/5.

“Netflix’s The Circle is about the power of social media: It can create influencers and destroy someone’s reputation. In terms of how the show actually works, each contestant is set up in their own apartment where they can only communicate with one another through the show’s social media platform and chats.” I like this show because it’s funny and interesting, it’s different from other shows because they’re not acting. I would rate this show a 4/5.

Stranger Things is an American science fiction, drama-horror web television series created by the Duffer Brothers and released on Netflix. … The Duffer Brothers developed the series as a mix of investigative drama alongside supernatural elements portrayed with horror, science fiction and childlike sensibilities.” I like this show because it’s super interesting and addicting. I would rate this show a 5/5.

Friends is a 90’s Comedy TV show, based in Manhattan, about six friends who go through just about every life experience imaginable together; love, marriage, divorce, children, heartbreaks, fights, new jobs and job losses and all sorts of drama.” I like this show because it’s really funny and just makes you happy. I would rate this show a 5/5.

The Vampire Diaries follows the life of Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), a teenage girl who has just lost both parents in a car accident, as she falls in love with a 162-year-old vampire named Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). … Both brothers protect Elena as they face various villains and threats to their town, including Katherine.” I like this show because its so dramatic and interesting. I would rate this a 4/5.

Movies:

Dangerous Lies stars Camila Mendes as Katie, a straight and narrow, financially struggling caretaker from south Chicago who tends to an older man named Leonard (Elliot Gould) out in the burbs. We know little about him aside from that he’s lonely, rich, old, and has a big beautiful house.” I like this movie because it’s just so interesting and jaw dropping. I would rate this movie a 5/5.

It: “Seven young outcasts in Derry, Maine, are about to face their worst nightmare — an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on the town’s children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise.” I love this movie because it’s so interesting and scary, I rate this movie a 5/5.

Circle: Fifty strangers facing execution have to pick one person among them to live.” I like this movie because it’s interesting and you don’t know what to expect. I would rate this movie a 4/5.

The Roommate: “When Sara (Minka Kelly), a young design student from Iowa, arrives for college in Los Angeles, she is eager to fit in and get to know the big city. Her wealthy roommate, Rebecca (Leighton Meester), is more than eager to take Sara under her wing and show her the ropes. The two become close, but when Sara begins to branch out and make more friends on campus, Rebecca becomes resentful. Alarmed, Sara moves in with her new boyfriend, causing Rebecca’s behavior to take a violent turn.” I like this movie because it’s interesting and you don’t know what to expect. I would rate this movie a 4/5.

Secret Obsession:Detective Frank Page (Dennis Haysbert), obsessed with his work after failing to find his own daughter’s kidnapper, investigates Jennifer’s accident, growing suspicious of Russell, who drives a truck similar to one seen in the vicinity where Jennifer was hit.” I like this movie because it’s interesting and dramatic. I would rate this movie a 4/5.

Bird Box: “Sandra Bullock leads a strong cast including Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich, and Sarah Paulson in “Bird Box,” a post-apocalyptic horror film released on Netflix on December 21. The plot revolves around an unseen evil that drives people to die by violent suicide if they see it.” I like this movie because it’s different from other movies and scary in a way. I rate this movie a 4/5.

I would rate this movie a 5/5.

The Babysitter:When Cole stays up past his bedtime, he discovers that his hot babysitter belongs to a satanic cult that will stop at nothing to keep him quiet.” I like this movie because it’s funny and scary. I would rate this movie a 3/5.”

The Edge of Seventeen: “Nadine Franklin (Hailee Steinfeld) is an awkward 17-year-old high school student who quickly walks to the classroom of her teacher Mr. Bruner (Woody Harrelson). She is flustered and tells Bruner she’s going to kill herself and that she needs someone to listen to her.” I like this movie because it’s about teenagers and some of it is relatable. I would rate this movie a 5/5.

You Get Me:After a one-night stand, Holly develops a dangerous obsession with Tyler and transfers to his high school, desperate to keep their “romance” alive.” I like this movie because it’s interesting and fun to watch. I would rate this movie a 4/5.
