New Netflix Drama “The King” Is a must watch
2019 ‧ 2h 20m (The King is a Rated R movie viewer discretion is advised)
The King is a movie on Netflix that was released Nov. 1, 2019.
The King is a historical drama based on Shakespeare’s plays Henry IV Parts I and II, and Henry V. The King stars Timothée Chalamet, Joel Edgerton, Robert Pattinson.
It is about how the prince of the Kingdom has a father who is king and is very ill. The king is getting ready to die and the prince has a brother who is supposed to be the new king. This is because the prince is seen as a bad heir to the throne because he spends most of his nights drinking and engaging in other illicit activities. Before his brother can become king, he had to go to battle first. This results, obviously in the prince’s brother being killed and that leaves the drunken prince left to be the king of England. Throughout the course of the movie, the now new king proves he is better at being king than his father. Which in my opinion keeps the viewer hooked because you get to visualize the mistakes his father made when king, fixed by this so-called “bad heir to the throne.” I would rate this movie a five out of five because I really enjoyed the plot and how it drastically got more and more entertaining as the story progressed. This movie definitely had me on the edge of my seat and it is way harder to imagine what would happen next in this movie because it always left you with surprises, as well as noticing new better things about the movie as you watch it.
