The ball is in the air.

The crowd shakes the bleachers with its chants and cheers.

The announcer screams, ‘touchdown Imagine Prep!’

The team has been on a winning streak and for the homecoming game it shouldn’t be any different.

One of the most important nights of the year is coming and you don’t want to miss it: the Homecoming Game and Senior Night.

On this night, Imagine Prep’s senior athletes and homecoming court will be honored on the football field. It’s the last football game that the seniors are playing on the home field.

This event is going to be held on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Glendale Youth Sports Complex. The address is 6044 N 91st Ave, Glendale, AZ 85305, and there is no charge to get in. The football team will be playing against Desert Heights Prep. It is expected to be the biggest game of the season.

“That should be a highly competitive game, Desert Heights Prep has turned into one of our big rivals in recent years not just in football, but basketball and softball, so we are expecting a big crowd,” Sean Sachau, the school athletic director said.

It is also going to be an important event for the cheer team; they are excited about having a big crowd and performing a special halftime dance.

“I feel like it is a bigger game so we always have something bigger and better to perform,” Jourden Hunt, the cheer captain said.
