For the second year in a row the IPHS  varsity cheer and dance team won at the APS Light Parade for best performance and overall use of lights. This is the team’s second year competing and winning. On Dec. 2, 2017 the team participated in a parade for all to watch and enjoy while still competing to protect their title. With about a month’s preparation and hours of working on their float they pulled it off yet again. The team marched and danced to a mashup of holiday music, while also passing out candy canes to all of the spectators.

Captain Julia Kupis said the parade was a great way to wrap up 2017.

“The APS light parade has become one of our favorite competitions to compete at,” Kupis said. “I love being able to bond with my team, have fun, and dance to Christmas music.”
