A brand new amusement park is set to open soon nearby. Mattel’s most notable franchises will be featured in attractions and rides. 

Construction for the amusement park has already started; the opening was slated to open in time for the Superbowl in February of 2023 but was pushed back to hopefully open in early 2024 because of construction. It will be located 9601 West Cardinals Way Glendale, AZ 85305. 

The park has many indoor and outdoor attractions some include a Thomas the Train ride, Hot Wheels Roller Coasters, The Barbie Beach House, featuring a Dream Closet Experience and a rooftop where visitors can have pink drinks, a mini-golf course featuring Mattel games like UNO and Pictionary,  a life-size Castle Grayskull; the castle will be a “state-of-the-art” laser tag arena, according to Mattel officials and much more.

Mark Cornell is a leader in the adventure parks industry. In an interview on the parks website Cornell stated they hope to make a unique indoor and outdoor design to keep families comfortable and engaged with different party themed zones like Barbie, Hot Wheels and Thomas & Friends. 

Mattel and the leaders of the project for the park are excited for the opening and have big plans  for the park still hoping to make it better.  They have high hopes for the park’s success and hope families come to love it.
