With different people comes different music tastes. So what do people from Imagine Prep like to listen to? There’s always that one song that we listen to on repeat. What’s that one song you listen to on repeat? Some students shared their favorite song that they have on their playlists. 

Freshman Noah Parker’s favorite song is “Flashing Lights” by Kanye West.

“It’s been my favorite song for two months. It’s a catchy song,” Parker said.

The song “Flashing Lights” is in Kanye’s album “Graduation”. “Flashing Lights” has 19 million views on Kanye West’s YouTube channel where his other music hits can be found. Kanye West first released this song in 2007 so it has been out for 14 years.

Next up, freshman Gracelynn Miller’s favorite song is “Can’t Look Back” by Machine Gun Kelly.

“I like it because it’s Machine Gun Kelly and what I mostly like about it is the chorus,” Miller said. “It’s been my favorite since the album came out, so about four months.” 

Machine Gun Kelly’s song “Can’t Look Back” is from his album “Tickets to My Downfall”. The music video currently has 1.6 million views on YouTube. 

Then we have ninth grader Leah Perez’s favorite song “Heart Like Yours” by Willamette Stone.

“I like the song because I can relate to the lyrics of the song. It’s been my favorite song for a couple months.”

Willamette Stone’s song “Heart Like Yours “ is from his album “If I Stay”. The video currently has 8.1 million views on Youtube and this song is also available on other music streaming apps such as Spotify, apple music, and others.

Alondra García, a freshman said her favorite song is “La Mejor de Todas” by Eslabón Armando.

“I like this song because it’s romantic. It’s been my favorite since it came out.” 

Eslabón Armando ‘s song  “La Mejor de Todas” is from his album “Corta Venas”. This song currently has 11 million views on his YouTube channel where the rest of his music can be found. This song can also be found in other music streaming apps. 

Lastly, Emma MIller’s favorite song is “Blinding Lights” by the Weeknd.

“I like “Blinding Lights” by the Weeknd because it’s fun and catchy, I know some songs kind of have a story behind them and I feel like this one just reminds me of all the fun I had with my friends and family. I just found it recently, but I’d say for like a couple of months.” 

The Weeknd’s song “Blinding Lights” was nominated for the “Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Song”. 

My personal favorite song is “Friends” by Chase Atlantic. This song is my favorite because I really like the type of vibes I get from listening to this song, it makes me feel alive and well it’s also a really good song to listen to. This song is from Chase Atlantic’s album “Nostalgia”. It can be found in music apps such as Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, and Deezer. The video linked to the song on YouTube currently has 3.8 million views. I believe it’s been my favorite song for nearly four months. 

Everyone has their taste in music, others share music tastes. These are some songs that these students and myself recommend to give a listen to. Overall, music is everywhere and there’s music we like and music we don’t.
