This year’s varsity girls basketball season is starting off smooth with a record of 4-0. Imagine Prep is lucky enough to have such great coaches like Jennifer and Allen Luna, but why choose to be the coach for the girls basketball team? 

“We are a basketball family with two sons that play college basketball so we have been around boys basketball for awhile, however, we love to watch girls basketball (college & WNBA), we thought we would give the girls side a try. We have no daughters so this opportunity gives us the chance to “adopt” these girls for a couple of months a year, so far we enjoyed every minute.”

What do you hope to do better this season than last years season and what is your goal? 

“This year one thing we hope to do better is for the girls to build better chemistry between the girls on and off the court and our goal is to make it further into the playoffs,” coach Al said.

Do you expect that this team will do well?

“Yes! We absolutely believe this year’s team will do very well. We have a lot of returning players that have been playing with each other for a couple of years with a couple of new players on the high school team with a lot of potential,” coach Al and Jen said.
