Middle School Softball Starting off Season With High Hopes
The Middle school softball team of 2019 is so excited to have gotten their season started on Monday, Dec. 9. While it is still the beginning of the season they might not know what to expect just yet, but they’re starting out with a positive attitude.
Special education teacher Terri Leach is coaching the team this year. She explained that the team is very excited to get the season started and see how they will grow as both a team and individually.
“We have a young team with many inexperienced players and it will take us a while to build some teamwork,” Leach said. “We think the girls are going to gain a lot of experience in softball and how to persevere. They are going to have a lot of fun along the way.”
Leach said the experience level of the team ranges from players who have played for many years, and those who have never picked up a softball glove in their life.
Regardless of how long they’ve been playing, there is always room to grow. As Leach has said, she is very excited to see these girls grow and persevere this season.
