Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the sequel to Maleficent (2017), both focus on the villain from the movie Sleeping Beauty (1959). Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was directed by Joachim Ronning. In the Maleficent series, Maleficent is no longer the villain she is the victim.

Maleficent takes a twist on the Sleeping Beauty story lots of people know and love. Maleficent ends up being Aurora’s godmother and becomes a huge part of Aurora’s life. Maleficent lives in the Moors. The Moors is a magical place where fairies and all the magical creatures live. 

Both movies featured Angelina Jolie as the one and only Maleficent. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil used computer-generated scenes to their advantage, they brought to life the war between the magical creatures and the humans. The movie proved to be a worthy sequel.

In my personal opinion, I really enjoyed the movie. It was exciting and kept me on my toes. I couldn’t tell what was going to happen next. Angelina Jolie did a great job as Maleficent in both movies. I really enjoyed it.
