Food Review: Raising Cane´s

Kristen White, Staff Writer

Raising Cane’s Chicken is arguably one of the most popular fast food destinations in Surprise right now. Cane’s is always busy, no matter what time of day, so what is it about the restaurant that appeals to so many people?

For starters, Cane’s has a very simple menu, consisting of only five combos, all of which are chicken, since Cane’s only serves chicken. Almost all of the menu items are the same, a certain amount of chicken tenders (depending on the size you get), french fries, Texas toast, and Cane’s sauce. The chicken Cane’s serves is always fresh and tastes great, along with their Texas toast, which is arguably the best part of the combos. The fries on the other hand are mediocre. The fries at Cane’s can at times be compared to the Ore Ida fries you can buy frozen at the grocery store, so they’re nothing special, but nonetheless still tasty. The Cane’s sauce served with the meals is also delicious.  The Canes sauce is a mixture of Heinz ketchup, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder, and tastes amazing with the chicken and fries.

Overall, the reason for Cane’s popularity is understandable, they make great food at a decent price, and have great service. The only thing Cane’s could improve on is their fries, they could be spiced up a little bit.
