WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS RUMORS ABOUT THE UPCOMING MOVIE, ¨AVENGERS INFINITY WAR¨, THAT MAY CAUSE RAGE AND ANXIETY TO THE COMMON MARVEL FANATIC. VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way. From the first ever movie they created in 2008, the one and only ¨Iron Man¨, to the upcoming movie, ¨Avengers: Infinity War¨, that they will be releasing on April 27, 2018.

The actor that plays Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr, has been in the Marvel Universe for a decade now and his time in Iron Man’s suit may be up. Chris Evans, who plays the role of Captain America, is in the same boat with Downey and this could break the hearts of many fans in the theater.

Why is this you ask? Well, this is because Downey’s and Evans´ contracts with the company are coming to an end. However, there are some Marvel fans that read sources about a fourth movie for the Avengers. They say that Downey and Evans contracts will conclude in 2019 when ¨Avenger’s 4¨ comes out. That is when sources say that their character’s lives might end.

If you don’t know who the Avengers are, they are a group of Marvel superheroes that combine their strategic skills and given powers to team up and fight against anyone that poses any threat to humankind. Members of the Avengers that were present in the first Avengers movie include Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Although some members left the team due to an unexpected plot twisting conflict in the second movie, “Captain America: Civil War”, it is shown in the trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War”, that they have reunited and are ready to protect the infinity stones from the super villain Thanos.

In the movie, they will add new superhero members onto the team that will have everyone up on their feet. Some of the superheroes that have rightfully earned their spot in the league is your friendly neighbor Spiderman and royal King of Wakanda, the Black Panther.

There are some Marvel fanatics here at Imagine Prep, and they gave a little insight of their expectations and rumors that are getting them pumped for the movie.

Theodore Jones, a senior at the Prep, described his feelings about the upcoming movie.

“I am very excited for it,” Jones said. “I have been a big fan of the Marvel movies ever since the first Iron Man movie and I am looking forward to seeing all of the characters come together. I bought my ticket for opening night. Me, my brother, my friend Conner, and probably a couple other friends, are going to go Thursday night just to see it.

Senior Jonathan Cerda is also a fellow Marvel fan and described why he likes Marvel so much.

“I like what Marvel is doing, especially with their movies because they are treating them differently than most people thought they would when they first came out and now I am just really excited to see what they do next,” Cerda said.

Hannah Morris, a fellow woman Marvel fanatic, has the same feelings toward Marvel and the upcoming movie.

“I am so excited; it’s like the combination of every marvel movie into just one and I’m going to see it the day it comes out.” Morris said. “I really like Marvel overall. I like their movies and I like their comics. Personally, I think it’s much better than DC.”

Even though the Marvel fans might have to say goodbye to some of their favorite and classic superheros, Marc Celaya, a senior at Imagine Prep, is still looking forward to seeing it.

“I have heard some rumors,” Celaya said. “I heard about the infinity stones and that some of the main characters that were around for a long time will die in this movie. I am pretty excited for it and I already have my ticket pre-ordered.”

No one will know what “The Avengers: Infinity War” will bring to the table until it is viewed on the big screen, but you can guarantee that there are going to be some major plot twists and shocking events that Marvel can pull off with the snap of a finger. Don’t miss out on this thrilling movie and watch it when you get the chance. It hits theaters on April 27. Hope I didn’t spoil too much and if you are a big fanatic like I am, I suggest you bring some tissues.
